About Our Instructors

Our Instructors come from many varied backgrounds including Military, Police, Fire Service, Ambulance Service and the Outdoor Pursuits Industry, also from the voluntary sector i.e., Mountain Search and Rescue, Water Rescue. All are highly skilled and qualified in their respective disciplines.

As International Rescue Training Centre Wales evolves it is expected that many more Instructors will join the team in the future.

2002 – Present: Founder member and Dog Section Leader of Global Rescue Services

2002: Qualified with dogs Wil and Gelert as Collapsed Buildings/Confined Spaces Search Dog Handler

September 2006: Qualified with dog Gelert for Human Remains/Cadaver Detection Work

November 2008: Qualified with dog Wil for Human Remains/Cadaver Detection Work

October 2007: Human Remains/Cadaver Detection Work – Nottinghamshire Police

July 2008: Human Remains/Cadaver Detection Work in France

August & September 2008: Human Remains/Cadaver Detection Work in Ireland

January 2006: Run short awareness sessions on Human Remains/Cadaver Detection with dog handlers from Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
